Question:

I need a head mounted camera, any ideas?

I need a good head mounted camera. I do not need a helmet mounted camera, but something that can be worn without a helm. I've seen bulletcam.com, but I'd really like a higher quality lens and mic. I need a quality product that will record exactly where my head is pointed. A little bulk isn't a problem. Anybody have any ideas?

  1. The only way the camera will point where your head is pointed is if it is mounted to your head - or mounted to something connected to your head... like a helmet.

If the camera is not mounted to your head or mounted to something connected to your head, how exactly is the camcorder supposed move with your head's movements to point where it points?

The easiest way to do that is to mount the camera to a helmet and wear the helmet. The next easiest way is to use a helmet cam... they are smaller and have less bulk so your neck does not have to carry the weight of the camcorder.

This is probably a little higher video quality... and more expensive... http://www.vio-pov.com/products.php?xid=...

Here is the deal... if you want good quality video, you need bigger lenses. If you want to mount the cam in a hat, that menas small lens - hence reduced video quality...

    Anything here may help...

Remember, you also need power (for the camera and mic) and a place to store the video and audio... and power for that, too.
