  1. It depends whether you mean initial risk assessment that is identifying all potential risks and hazards that might happen. When you have the list you need to put in strategies to remove or reduce the risk to minimal. A check list is then drawn up with all potential hazards on it and a check must be made of all of these before the children use the area. A record needs to be kept. You identify a risk, decide who it is a risk to, whether it is high, medium, low, if high then area is out of bounds until reduced to minimum, who it has been repoted to and what the solution is. The H&S website has everything you need on it.

  2. My licensing specialist provides this service - check with them.

  3. go to your local county council and ask the H&S Team to provide it! or if it's a private nursery then go on teachernet!

  4. Thanks so much sharronw - I've been looking for a good risk assessment for ages! I say give her the top answer!

  5. Try this link ....

  6. Contact your local council, They should be running many nurseries and will be able to put you in contact with someone who helps, though they may pass your round the houses to start with (hopefully you understand that expression).

You go to a private or specialist your likely to be charged a bomb.
