  1. Being that the FBI p****y Laws are getting more strict, the DVD manufacturers are making new technologies to prevent people from Pirating DVD's.  My suggestion is to buy the DVD's and keep it legal instead of having to buy a new DVD every time they change security formats.  The reason the backups don't always work is the manufacturers are placing critical information at different places on the disc now.  Being that your backup software doesn't know that logarithm and spacing you are going to only continue to have problems.

  2. budget needed please ,,

the jvc package sounds ok for the money and will play all dvd's

  3. I was told on another forum that it will play backup DVD"s but one person said Verbatim brand worked best. I just bought this HT-X50 to go with my new TV. But I only have regular dvd's but someone on the AVS forum I think it was said it didn't play backups and that they backup there kids movies that they have bought cause the kids scratch them up and then someone else said it works but they found that Verbatim works best.

  4. Look at the box to see what formats it supports. Panasonic and Sony support just about everything except DIVX.
