  1. To a pitcher of cold water, add:  3-4 squeezed lemons, 1 c. sugar (unless you like it sweeter), and (the secret ingredient) 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract! ... put sliced lemons in the pitcher....  Try freezing whole, fresh, washed strawberries to use instead of ice cubes

  2. Like the last person what I do is squeeze 12 lemons, and then chop the shells of rind into medium pieces, bring 4 cups of water to the boil and add the shells and 3 cups of sugar, boilit for 5 minutes and cool, strain out the bits, then add the juice and a bit of lemon extract, and for a pitcher of lemonade use 2 cups of the syrup/juice mixture and a fair amount of ice, and either plain water or for a treat, a bottle or 2 of club soda.

Garnish with lemons slices or wedges, some like the added zip of more lemon, I was a chef and used this mix for both drinks and for sorbets.

  3. This is the most basic of recipes and it's really good lemonade.

    What you need:

    1 3/4 cups white sugar

    8 cups water

    1 1/2 cups lemon juice

What you do:  Make the syrup:  Put sugar and 1 cup water in pan. Bring to boil and stir to dissolve sugar. Allow to cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate until chilled.  Meanwhile, remove seeds from lemon juice, but leave pulp (optional). In pitcher, stir together chilled syrup, lemon juice and remaining 7 cups water.

    That's all.

  4. Make simple syrup. Fresh squeezed lemon juice. Sparkling water. Combine in glass of crushed ice.

  5. im going to try the first recipe, it sounds more like lemon water though.

  6. Here in Egypt they make the best lemonade ever!  Wash lemons really well in warm soapy water to get rid of any dirt/chemicals and rinse thoroughly.  Then cut them up into small chunks, remove the pips as these are bitter and put into liquidizer cover with sugar and leave for 10 minutes or so. The amount of sugar depends on personal taste.  Next add water and wizz for short bursts (this is how they do it) then sieve the juice and add water to taste and chill.  If when you have made it it still tastes sour, mix some sugar with hot water and add to the lemonade. Very refreshing and delicious.
