I need a job, but am having a hard time getting one, any other ways I can make money?

I'm a 16 (almost 17) year old high school senior. I have been looking for a job in my town by with the flooding of college kids coming back jobs are pretty much extinct, Any ways I can make money elsewhere?

if I had too, I would become the Avon Lady ;)

You may want to consider talking with temporary employment services.  You never know what's out there.  Also go and look at jobs that are posted at your State Employment Service.  Most people forget they are located in almost every county in the USA.

The "job of last resort" would be babysitting, and hope it's for a great business owner who can help you out.

You can apply once you turn 18 at www.avon.com to become a representative. It costs 10.00 to start up with Avon and that will get you an appointment with a local district manager in your area. They will bring an appointment kit to you and ask you a few questions as to why you want to become an Avon representative and give you some samples and brochures and then you'll be off to making money.

Now provided that you get out there and meet new people and ask around for who is interested in Avon, then you'll do fine selling Avon.

Why don't you see if there is a Mary Kay Director in your area that needs help.  I wish I had a teen in my neighborhood to help me out making calls office work etc lots of us hire people to help go to www.marykay.com and find someone in your area even if they don't need help they will ask around for you.  it is a great way to network in your area.
