i live in indianapolis too.....what side of town are u on? just apply at fast food places/grocery stores/ movie theatres near the major shopping centers (circle center, washington square, lafayette, castleton, glendale) or whatever is cloes to you

there isnt too much you can do at 16

Apply at every fast food joint, grocery store, clothing store, pet shop, etc. (anywhere you see other teens working)

you can work at a nursing home as a dietary aide.

Its not retail.  Old people don't juge you for you who you are.

I  moved from Indiana - South Bend - about a year and a half ago, because there were no jobs.  I now live outside of dc, where there's always going to be jobs.  Good Luck. It's a tough time to be a kid  - or unemployed.
