I need a job really bad. But the problem is... I am 16. And it is SOO hard to find places that will hire me because of my age. And because I do not have employment history. but I can't get any unless somebody HIRES me!!

I have been calling youth employment the last few days, but the woman is NEVER there.

Does anybody have ideas of where I can apply at 16 years old?

  1. Babysitting makes a good amount of money...

Especially that you're 16, age = more trust.

But since you need a more constant job, try volunteering for leaderships at camps and daycare.

  2. try at a grocery store cause i tried but they wont hire until you are 16 and can drive yourself around...you might also try like an entertainment place, like a water park, mini golf place, rollerskating place, iceskating place, etc

this site has a lot of jobs that would hire you, just go under part time jobs and then your area

    www.craigslist.com

***hope i helped and good luck!!!

  3. u can try publix or subay my big bros r 14 and 16 and they work at publix and subway try there

  4.   You can try hitting the retail scene.  Malls, box stores etc..  They hire 16 year olds.

Check the internet for local job listings or A Department of Workforce Services in your area.  They are out there.

      Good Luck on your search..

  5. Take a look in the newspaper honey! I hear Coldstone Creamery hires young people.

  6. Try small mom and pop buisinesses and dress nice and be respectable when you go, it shows your responsibility to yourself and may give you an aura of confidence and kindness. Also find connections to owners or managers through friends or family and speak with sophistication and not like some teenagers do. This sometimes doesn't work but it does put you in good graces and keeps you on their mind and make sure you call back regularly, not pesteringly, but enough to let them know you want the job.

  7. i'm not sure how to find a job, but while you're looking, volunteer somewhere. it will help you get into the work mode as well as look good on a resume.

  8. If you have no experience, they best way is to start at the ground floor like a fast food place etc.  You can just walk into one of those places and ask.  Ask your friends who have jobs if there company is hiring.  At your age the best thing to do is ask arounf.

  9. try dietary at a nursing home
