  1. I think that McDonalds hires 15-year-olds, and I used to work there as a teenager.  I wouldn't say I loved it, but it's not forever, and I eventually found better jobs.  It's boring but just think of the money you're making.

I really enjoyed babysitting, even though it's not a "real" job I like children more than food, and it pays better.

If you still can't find a job, you could talk to  your counselor at your high school and tell them you're looking for a job.  They might have ideas.  Also, I think that groovejob.com and snagajob.com are geared toward teenagers. They tell you the minimum age requirements on each job listing.

Someone mentioned this but think connections, connections, that's often key.  Your teachers, your neighbours, friends of your family, people at your church/synagogue, sports coaches, guidance counselor, friends' parents, tell everyone you know that you're looking for something.

    Good luck sweetie :)

  2. Hello,

There are many on-line jobs available on net, but to find out a real job is very difficult. Before joining to any site, I suggest to visit at http://buildyourincome.blogspot.com/2008...

  3. you could bus tables at local restrunts...  or something...

  4. I would try to work at either Chic-Fil-A, you get every Sunday off since they are closed, waiting tables (take home cash every day you work), or where your friends might work at.

  5. it is hard to find a job at 15 because there are limits on when and how much you can work. most companies have their own policies concerning the hiring of minors so the only way to know about individual businesses is to apply. restaurants and grocery stores are usually the best options for minors under 16 because they find it easier to work within the labor guidelines for that age group.

you are young and inexperienced so the first impression you make is critical. be sure when you go to apply that you are dressed appropriately that you go when the business is slow and ask for a manager, introduce yourself and politely ask for an application and the appropriate time to bring it back. you must have great references so talk to coaches, teachers, clergy, friends parents, anyone you have done casual labor for or places you have volunteered. make sure you ask them if you may use them for a reference and get current contact information for them.

for info about hours you can work, work permit, job suggestions, interview information etcetera go to: http://www.youthrules.dol.gov

there are links for each state with info for employers, educators, parents and TEENS

it varies some from state to state but generally

at 14 or older you can work in an:

    office,

    grocery store,

    retail store,

    restaurant,

    lodging facilities,

    movie theater,

    baseball park,

    municipal parks(city or county),

    amusement park, or

gasoline service station just to name a few……………….

some businesses that do hire 14 and 15 year old employees include:

McDonald's, Burger King, Chic-Fil-A, Sonic, Krogers, Publix, Stop & Shop, Hardee's, Dollar Store, Target

most businesses are independently owned or operated so their policies for hiring minors may vary. although it is legal to work not all operators will hire those under 16 so just apply everywhere, the worse that can happen is you don't get hired.

  6. my 15 year old sister just got a job at a supermarket
