I need a job do you know where i can find one?

Hi i am a 19 year old woman in search for a good job. I have been applying to many places but it seems like my experience doesn't match their requirements. I work for a food store for a year and a half and then i worked at sears for a year and a half to. Does anybody know where i can look for a good paying job for entry level positions?

I know that this is just Yahoo Answers, so you feel like you don't have to use proper English, but when you use "to" when you mean "too", I wonder if you might have made spelling/grammar mistakes on your applications or in speaking with people who make hiring decisions.

So, job hunting ideas.

First, know yourself. What are you really interested in/passionate about. Figure that out, and then go work for people who do that. Check out the "before you search" section at the Riley Guide http://rileyguide.com/prepare.html

Read Johnny Bunko www.johnnybunko.com, which may be available at your local library, and talks about what you should be thinking about as you think about your career.

Once you have a field, use the information interview ideas as outlined in _Parachute_ and elsewhere. Join clubs in that field. Go to professional meetings. Read the trade magazines.

Don't settle for a better paying job, try to find a career so that you can be moving up a ladder, and earning more money in 3-5 years in something you love, rather than finding a good paying job today that will also give out in 18 months.
