It's been a while since I quit drinking but never feel good or relaxed like drinking does for me. I'm looking for a legal drug that can give me that effect. I don't want to go back to drinking because at times it gets out of hand and bad things happen...

I know all about going out and doing different things and exercise is good but it just doesn't cut it.

Thanks in advance for any help!

  1. you sound like the perfect patient for medical marjuana.

and like the lady under me says, marijuana is not addictive, which would make it an excellent substitute.

    pm me for additional info

    legalize it

    www.norml.com

  2. Absinthe

    It is Liquid

Makes you feel very drunk without a bad hangover

    Legal in the US

  3. All you will be doing is swapping one addiction for another.

It is a bad idea to start taking or relying on tablets just to take the place of alcohol.

drugs of any type can have side affects and you become dependant on them so slowly you increase the dose. Before you know whats hit you again your caught up in a very unhealthy World of Addiction!

  4. Just take some sleeping pills. You will wake up feeling so much better. I take NyQuill even when I'm not sick and it is amazing. And over the counter.

  5. If your are having problems relaxing or with anxiety from quitting drinking and u are looking for a legal prescription pill. You could try getting a doctor to precribe you some Soma (muscle relaxer) but if u do take too much they make you feel drunk anyways...or maybe xanax or valium for anxiety...dont know if its what yur looking for but thats all i got...

  6. Most likely you have an anxiety disorder that had been masked by the drinking in the past. Many people self medicate by drinking and don't even realize it.  It might be in your best interest to see a psychiatrist and ask for assistance with this. You might be surprised by the result.

I personally take Klonopine but I have to be VERY careful because it can be addictive and it is a controlled substance. It is prescribed by my doctor and I take much less than what is actually prescribed. I take just enough to handle the anxiety which is about .5mg. I have been prescribed 3 mg daily but NEVER take that much. If I take enough to get a buzz, I have taken too much.

They might start you with a much slower acting anti-anxiety medication. Some of them take  6 weeks to feel the full results. These are much less addictive. I would have gone with one of those but I had problems with the side effects. Many people don't and you might be one of them.

  7. Get some motherwort, boil it and drink it. It gets rid of the blues and makes the heart merry.
