  1. You could choose any animal and ask the children some general questions about that animal. Ask them what sound the animal makes? You could also ask what kind of food comes from that animal, for example cows give us meat, cheese, and milk. If you are near a dairy farm plan a trip that will allow them to see what goes on at the farm. You could make buttermilk at school by adding lemon juice. Explain what happens to the milk and why it taste different. Also, explore how milk arrives at the store and the different kinds of milks and products that come from the farm. Make cow ears with brown felt and paint kids noses to resemble cows. Play a game of "herding" the cows. Sorting farm animals, etc. I hope this this gets you started. Be blessed!

  2. One day you could have them pretend they are their favorite farm animal. anouther day you could ask them to draw their animal. Mabye even take a trip to the farm. Ask them to bring a stuffed animal nor plastic toy of a farm animal or ask them to name their favorite farm animal and what it eats what sound it makes and make a funny song of it or you could do this sing Old Mac Donald had a farm and ask some one which animal to say Old Mac Donald had a cow e i e i o with a moo moo here and a moo  moo there.......so on. Same thing with the farmer and the dell  "the famer in the dell the famer in the dell hi hoe the dario the famer in the dell the farmer had a poney the farmer had a poney hi hoe the dario the famer had a pony and any other shildrens songs you know!

  3. First choose 5 animals commonly seen on farms.

    Sheep, Dogs, Cows, Pigs, Chickens.

Grab a seperate sheet of paper for each animal and head it up with the day and animal.

Find a library book that corresponds with each animal and write the author and name on your paper.

Now think up an activity [ I presume this is preschool level]

so something simple like drawing a sheep on paper and gluing cottonwool to its back.  Drinking a glass of milk and eating a piece of cheese for the cow.  Drawing a cat and gluing on wool for whiskers.  Pretending to roll in the mud and grunt for pigs. Tape record dogs barking and get a friend to bring their dog in for the children to pat.

Each day talk about the animal read the library book and do the activity.  Make sure you also remember to record how the lesson went and the childrens responses to it.

    Good luck !!!
