I need a list of things not allowed on the plane...?

im going on vacation, and i have not been on a plane in a few years, i dont plan on checking a bag, im just going to use my carry-on with all my things. i need to know where i can get a list of things that cannot be brought on the plane with you as a carry-on. im flying american airlines. i looked on the site, there was no list of what you can take on the plane. i dont want to be help up at the airport because i had something i shouldnt have...any help would be nice...thanks
