Texas is a big place.  Might help if you specified North, East, South, or West

Texas is HOT, so bring good sunsreen and lots of shorts, tanks, and hats.

Also bring your appetite for Mexican Food, because it's everywhere and it's GOOD!

Other than that learn how to use the word Y'all and pick up the Texas drawwww and you'll blend right in

Lightweight, light-colored clothing, or moisture-wicking clothing, to keep cool. It is very hot and humid at the moment.

Lightweight pants or shorts would be a better choice than denim ones.

I would recommend shirts you can layer (like a tank top and a short or long-sleeved buttondown) if you will be going in and out of buildings a lot. It is very hot outside, but the stores often keep their AC on freezing.

And please don't forget your sunscreen.

sunblock, shorts, sandals, sunglasses,....really depends on what you are going to do when you get there, but you will need those basics anywhere in the state. Bring a swim suit or two as well in case your hotel has a pool. You are not leaving the states, so you can purchase anything you really need when you get there at a walmart or target, etc. Bring a sundress to wear out to dinner and even a light jacket....thin...really thin sweather, comfortable walking shoes. If you are in Dallas, check out the many malls and antique malls. Remember, in TX everything is bigger! Have fun!
