I need a litle bit of help in basketball?

Question

Iam 16 years old and im realy into basketball

im thinking to go pro but not in the nba

i dont even know if im goin to play college ball but um realy intrested in any teams in Azerbiajan (yes that is a country) because i was born their, that r willing to look at how i play thorough maybe a video tape or anything else that could be send(could also be email video or somthin)

so i was just wondering if somone new anythin bout that

why not play in nba doyou have family there . if you have family there i guess that a okay desision. but u should play u get ur name known in college.

ya youl prob def need a video if you are truly serious about playin college ball. my sister was talkin to a college coach about softball, and they said they needed to see a video of her playing some games. also, all the players on rivals.com have one. rivals.com is the top recruiting site and all the top players got videos. but your most likely going to need to go to college to get noticed. its just that hard to make it, and if you dont make it, at least youl get a college education out of it.

You're 16 and want to play pro basketball...

Okay, you need to have the skills, first. That's not for you to decide. That's for coaches.

Secondly, you need to be playing on a club team/high school team. If you're not, go talk to your high school coach or join an AAU team ASAP. This is for exposure. If you don't have exposure, nobody is going to give a **** about you.

Third, you need to dedicate yourself to play college basketball...any level. This isn't a joke. If you're an American and you want to play pro ball, they look at where you went to college, not high school. Whether it be JC, NAIA, or any college division, you need to be playing.

To get on a college team, you need to enroll in the school and either send a recruitment video (your highlights, workouts) or try-out...if they have open try-outs.

But colleges prefer to hand-pick their players. So it'll be hard if they don't contact you.

My uncle played at a small NAIA school...he went through h**l just to get there. He had to send numerous videos, be on all-star teams, and play with other recruits. And even then he didn't get offers for Euro teams.

However, one of his teammates played at San Jose State, left the team, and went to his college for two years. He dominated. He got one offer from a really small league in Europe.

It's not easy.

i think you should play college ball, because you will get more exposure and that will prepare you better in the PRO league, also you will get free education which you can use to secure your future when things do not go well in your basketball career, choosing a career that does not guarantee longevity (some basketball players get career ending injuries and in case things does not go well as you planned), you still have a career to pursue if you have your diploma and besides you are still young to think about being a pro. good luck and have fun!!!

Ok here's what you need to do...

1. Have the athleticism of Dwyane Wade! :]

2. If you're that apssionate about basketball, make a commitment to coaches that you will try your best to never miss a game.

3. Always have the determination of Isiah Thomas.

4. To learn moves, I would always go to youtube.com and look at Stephon Marbury, Jamal Crawford, Dwyane Wade, and Luol Deng for dribbling skills. For finding open space to shoot an open jumpshot, I'd Look up Richard Hamilton.

5. Never be afraid to try something you love.

I have never heard of the country of Azerbiajan, but who knows if you do those things above you'll be the best Azerbiajan basketball player ever.
