i sleep throught all my classes.this is because i know it.im sooooo board i skiped 1 grades princible said thats the limit. i snore so teachers are al ready anoyed with me. im in 8th grade im 12. i did not go to six grade i skipped . i did not go to seventh much i was absent a lot. i still got straight 4.2 . INEED HELP.

qustions in summary.

what are programs in ohio that allow me to skip more grades?

what are activititvities that will keep me a awake in class?

I am hoping this is a joke because after reading your details, Kentucky no longer has to worry about being made fun of for being stupid!!!  I think Ohio just won that seat if YOU are skipping grades!!!

Actually, I'm very surprised you were allowed to skip sixth grade because your spelling, punctuation, capitalization---in short, your writing skills---are terrible.  (You do need help).

Rather than focus on yourself (how bored you are), find ways to help other students and perhaps help your teacher in class.  Life isn't made up of activities to entertain you.  Even as an adult, you will be in many situations that are "boring" (not entertained or not about you).  At age 12, you should be able to sit through something that is boring without falling asleep.

not to be rude...but you've skipped sixth grade and seem to be intelligent...yet your spelling is horrible. sorry... maybe you should work on that...or maybe it's just not your strong point. anyway, why don't you just bare with the class and what is being taught. you may know everything or at least feel you know everything but it can't hurt to get a review in. or...you could always bring a book to read..that might improve your spelling also.

I understand your problem, having had it myself. However, you may want to consider that your behavior may be attention seeking. You probably get a lot of commentary from people either annoyed with your sleeping or impressed that you can sleep and still get good grades. Since you are intelligent, you can give it some thought.

There are other options. Almost all schools in the United States have gifted education programs that are geared to high performing students and they offer more challenges. Have your parents go to the school counselor and tell them that they want you tested for the gifted program. They must do this under IDEA. Though you are not disabled, gifted services come through that act.

Unfortunately giftedness is often marked by quirky behavior, but it is time for you to take some responsibility for your behavior. It seems as though you have no goals for the future, which definitely can lead to boredom in school. You may want to go to the Career Center when you get to high school and start thinking about your future.

In high school there are other options for students. Some students take classes at the local community college instead of at the high school. Also, if you are interested in a technical field there are work/school opportunities in which you actually get credit for working a job part time.

Have you asked your parents for help? Your a minor so whatever you need requires their contacting the school and getting things rolling.  Does your school have a gifted program? You have to have all the teachers agree you are a candidate for the program and then the school psych does an eval to see exactly where your performance levels are at. This requires your parents signatures. If your bored and sleeping in class, your teachers may not give you a good reccommendation for the program. Try interacting with them during their lesson, asking questions or making suggestion related to the lesson topic.

Not trying to be rude but I doubt you are serious, no teacher would let you skip a grade and if you did it was a mistake. Your spelling is bad for example you say you are board which means you are a flat piece of wood. What you mean to say is that you are bored. if you can not do basic spelling you shouldn't skip a grade. Maybe if you try to stay awake you won't be as "board"

If you really are intelligent try to get into the gifted program.
