I need a miracle cure for unending nausea, not caused by pregnancy?

Off and on nausea for 3-4 years,.... and only reason I know of is stress that can't be changed (caretaker). Probiotics helped some, as did digestive enzymes, but at the onset, "pink" stuff and the like -- do nothing. I drink the teas and gingerales, even take the capsules and eat the cookies. Nope. HELP, I am desperate to have a day (A LIFE!) nausea-free!

    try this.

I am thinking about trying it because I stress and anxiety and it causes me to get nauseas as well.

  2. Try chewing real peppermint leaves or eating ginger.

  3. Peppermint tea is often used to settle the stomach.  However, what most people don't know is that peppermint in large quantities, in any form will CAUSE nausea.  Ginger ale and cookies are only sugar, settling the taste buds and nothing else.  The "pink" stuff isn't good for anyone's digestive system.

From a holistic point of view (since you asked in Alternative Medicine), nausea is caused by a fear, or a rejecting of an idea or experience.  You have already stated that your situation is stressful as a caregiver and cannot be changed.  According to Louise L. Hay, author of "You Can Heal Your Life", state to yourself "I trust the process of life to bring me only good."  Say this as often as necessary, usually 20 or more times daily, and you will see your symptoms disappear.  (read the book to find out how this process works).

On the physical level, try Traditional Chinese Medicine in the form of accupuncture.  There is a spot on the ear that eases the feeling of nausea.  Walmart used to carry nausea aids in the pharmacy department that you put on this spot on the back of your earlobe and/or wristbands for nausea.

Something else to try is traditional massage to help you deal with the effects of continued stress upon *your* body.  You MUST take care of yourself so that you can better take care of your family and obligations.  It is often easy to slip into the *martyr* role unintentionally sacrificing oneself for the sake of others.  Find help through Pallitative Care through your local Hospice chapter to give you the few hours off to take care of you.  (that is what pallitative care is for, not the dying)

  4. Nausea comes from not accepting a situation. Just like throwing up is a real rejection of something. Of course it is hard to accept what you are going through but what can you do to make it feel better for yourself? Have you looked on the internet to see if there are groups for people who want to uplift & inspires others doing the wonderful work you are doing. Alot of people choose not to do this & so I hope you pat yourself on the back everyday for making sure a loving choice. Do what you can to find support, lots of support. Maybe if you can find one place you will led to even more places to find support...I would post this question in the senior area also. Alot of seniors besides having experienced their own parents care, have also experienced caring for a spouse, friend, sibling, etc. you deserve all the help you can get to bring in the most joy for you as you are on this journey.

  5. THERE'S THIS TEA CALLED "ANISE' OR " SENNA"

IT'S A NATURAL HERB, AND IT'S VERY GOOD FOR THE

STOMACH, I   WAS  RAISE ON IT.

  6. Geez buddy, stress and diet can do some wicked things to our bodies if we let it.

It is possible that you are suffering from a Vitamin B6 deficiency ~ this will produce terrible dry mouth which cannot be resolved no matter how much water you drink, night time muscle spasms, leg cramps, excessive urination, nausea and vomiting, numbness and tingling and prickling sensations in the outer extremities ................. vitamin B6 is needed for the effective assimilation of Vitamin B12 so if you are deficient in B6 (pyridoxine) then you will also be displaying symptoms of vitamin B12 (cycoanobalamin) deficiency ie: headaches and migraines, irritability and moodiness, inability to think clearly, excessive sweating, chest pains and heart palpitations, depression, constipation and insomnia........... vitamin B12 is needed for effective iron assimilation, so if you are deficient in B12 then you would also be displaying symptoms of iron deficiency anaemia ie: fatigue and exhaustion, dizzy spells, nasty nasty headaches  and fainting and loss of balance and paleness of skin. A quick way to check if you are iron deficient is to pull down the bottom lid of your eyelids and check the color. If it is red or dark pink then you are healthy but if it is pale and pasty white looking then you are more than likely iron deficient.

Eat more foods rich in Vitamin B12 ie: organ meats such as lambs fry and kidneys, skimmed milks and cheeses, fish and eggs.

Eat more foods rich in vitamin B6 ie; wheat bran, wheat germ, liver, fish, cantaloupe, cabbage, blackstrap molasses, unmilled rice, oats and eggs.

Eat more foods rich in iron ie:beef, liver, red meat,  dried peaches, farina, egg yolks, oysters, organic nuts, beans, asparagus, unsulphured molasses and oatmeal.

Iron assimilates more effectively when consumed with foods rich in vitamin C ie; citrus fruits such as lemons, limes and oranges, tomatoes and potatoes, leafy green vegies and red and green peppers.

If you are lactose intolerant or vegetarian then it is really important that you supplement your diet with a multi B complex tablet on a daily basis.

Things that could be robbing you of your precious B complex of vitamins are :- first and foremost stress will do it every time, eating too much protein, alcohol, eating too much tinned food, antiobiotics, antidepressants, penicillin, prednisone and aspirin, diuretics and laxatives will rob you of your B complex of vitamins and vitamin C.

Also, try to cut back on drinks such as caffeine, tea, sodas and soft drinks as they are all B complex thieves........ as well as being great at dehydrating you.

Take a multi B complex tablet including all the B's ie: B1, B2 B3, B5, B6 and B12 as they work best synergistically (together). Don't buy any of the B complex of vitamins individually but rather as a whole group unless a nutritionally oriented physician or naturopath instructs you to.

The B complex of vitamins is essential for healthy neural, digestive and immune system functioning and will help you enormously in dealing with the everyday stress we are all exposed to at one level or another.

The B complex of vitamins is a water soluble complex and as such our bodies can neither store or produce them. Therefore we need to ingest them on a daily basis or suffer the consequences as you unfortunately are.

When you take your daily supplement bear in mind that B12 (part of that complex) needs enough calcium and vitamin D in your body to be effectively assimilated.... fishes such as tuna and salmon are rich in both... These fishes are also a rich source of magnesium (known as the antistress mineral) which is another thing you may need to focus on as well ~ your stress levels... Quite a handfull of information here ........ sorry it's a bit long winded but you need to know all this.

Other foods rich in calcium are ~ sardines, dried beans, kale, broccoli, collard greens, leafy greens, organic nuts and seeds such as almonds and sunflower seeds .... even oranges and  carrots are rich in calcium......   organic nuts & seeds to avoid the nasty sulfites and other chemicals they use in the commercial varieties to "preserve" them that will upset sensitive bodies.

Getting enough vitamin D on a daily basis can be as simple as getting 10 - 15 minutes of safe sun exposure daily... vitamin D is known as the sunshine vitamin.

When our bodies are placed under added stress such as sickness, relationship dramas, new job, school studies or just daily life really, the B complex of vitamins are usually the first group to get used up and we therefore need to adjust our intake accordingly.

When you are getting any stress related symptoms or any of the above mentioned symptoms simply take another B tablet. As they are water soluble our bodies will simply excrete any excess in our urine.

Drink loads of fresh filtered water too as the happiest and healthiest body will always be the most hydrated one.

Symptoms of dehydration are ~ puffy bags and dark circles under your eyes, headaches and migraines, irritability and moodiness, inability to think clearly, digestive troubles such as constipation, bloating, nausea and cramping.......  is it possible that you are simply dehydrated??

We need at least 2 litres of water per day just to maintain aspiration (to breathe)!! so drink up buddy, maybe that's why you're nauseous.

    hope this helps u

    peace 2 u

  7. Common causes (besides the obvious stress) include food sensitivities, swallowing air when eating, and.insufficient amounts of hydrochloric acid in the stomach.

Eat slowly, while sitting down.  Take small bites, chew thoroughly, and never drink liquids WITH the meal.

Avoid alcohol, caffeine, greasy, spicy and refined foods.

To test for food sensitivities, try an elimination diet.  For several days eat nothing but fruits, vegetables, fresh juices and filtered water.  Gradually add back foods containing gluten, grains, legumes, eggs, dairy etc.  A return of symptoms will pinpoint the problem food.
