  1. Tilbury docks

  2. does Lymington offer this kind of mooring? or Dartmouth?

  3. i would say somewhere like Plymouth hears a list of websites that may be helpful http://www.ukwhatsonguide.co.uk/SWBoatMo... http://www.bluemoment.com/marinassw2.htm... one that i would recommend trying is southdown marina there were a few barges there

  4. You could try asking British Waterways - they not only have their own Marinas (though I don't know if any permit livaboards) but they have lists of private moorings.

The one place which springs to mind is perhaps somewhere on the Kennet and Avon, which has wide locks, but it's a pretty popular waterway.  You may get a mooring by joining a Club.

Try an ad in "Waterways World" or one of the other mags.
