I need a new cooker so do I stick to gas or change to electric?

Question

Would you stick with your gas cooker and get an extraction fan fitted. (latest CORGI regulations)

OR

switch to an electric cooker with no need to fit fan?

Having had both, STICK TO GAS! It heats more evenly; it's cheaper; and it doesn't heat up your whole kitchen in the summer!

Try living without one.  Seriously, try a different way of life using smaller devices like a steamer, deep fat fryer and one of those NuWave ovens (see link).

Must be better for the environment on being able to cook using 85% less energy and twice as fast, strainght from the freezer!

go with what you are most comfortable with.

i use electric at the moment but i prefer gas. some people will even tell you that the taste of the food you cook is different using gas/electric.

I'd never go away from a gas hob!! But a dual fuel would be ok.  Don't like electric hobs - not enough control.
