  1. Check out advance, autozone, www.rockauto.com, www.autopartsauthority.com, and autopartswarehouse.com to find the best price. They are easy to replace if you can get to it. They should be able to show you a picture at advance or autozone to show you where it is. The dealer will always overcharge you so if you cannot get to it go to a local repair shop. If they want a fortune for the part; buy it online and have them install it. You need a large open ended wrench or a special socket for a ratchet to replace it because it has wires attached to it. I think mine were 19mm, but I am not sure. Advance or autozone will let you take the wrenches out to try them on the vehicle, or even tell you the proper size. The only concern is that the vehicle is not rusted to the point where you may strip the threads because if it is; it is best to let a mechanic deal with that. You could always try PB blaster to free it, but do not keep trying to remove it if it is binding because you will strip the threads. Good luck!

  2. Depending on the size of motor that you have for your Sonata, you might be able to do the work yourself. As for the part, you can get it aftermarket for 74 to 125 dollars, depending on where you go. You need to shop around. Remember that the price you pay does make a difference bc it might last as long. You must see what they have. Dealer price of 250 is consistent. After market though, you might lucky having the thing last forever. You have to decide. Good luck.
