If you have the money get an iPhone. They can text and the browser is really good. The only downside is that I've heard they're bugs that caused them to go slower and not work well the the 3G network.

IPersonally i like Nokia N95 Smartphone..The lowest price i find for it is $404.

stay away from the iphone. Texting on a touchscreen is terrible.. especially a touchscreen without haptic feedback. To understand the texting on an iphone, go to your best buy, and start trying to type on the gps. if you use a gps with a 3.5" screen, this is EXACTLY like the iphone.

Notice how the keys are very small, you have to dedicate your full attention to what you type, because you arent sure whether you pressed the right letter, your only other feedback comes in the way of a beep.. sucks

although some people love the internet on the iphone, its html only. so no flash video sites, or flash based websites. The main reason they like it is because it does mapping. Mapping shows a picture of the site, then the user moves the cursor on to where they want to zoom in.

I would recommend the nokia n95-4 (-4 has us 3g). html browser with flash and java, and if you dont like the native browser, you can always install one or all of the numerous third party browsers available. the native browser also supports mapping. It also has wifi. Reception on nokia phones is excellent (although the e71-2 suffers from a fluke).

Texting on a phone with a keypad is not quite as good as a phone with a full qwerty, but loads better then a touchscreen device. You can feel the difference in the keys, and when they click into place, you can assure that that key was entered.

If you require a full qwerty and internet, then perhaps the nokia e90 may better suite you.

iPhone or Black berry. The size of the iPhone is kind of embarrassing and awkward, so go with a blackberry for easy access.

i have the iphone and love it! my only complaint sometimes it will freeze up. there is also a texting fixer so if you spell a word wrong it will fix it(which can be annoying but helpful) the internet is fast in the 3G
