I need a new vacuum !

In your experiences with vacuums, what make should I buy and why?

if you are feeling rich then you can't beat kirby.

I would get a Eureka Boss for about $59. I have had less trouble with it then my mother-in-laws Oreck and Kirby. Bags are cheaper and the vacume is lightweight. Have had mine for about 8 years. That's about $8 a year so far.

Summo I would look at Eureka the boss power plus.  It is 12 amp for power, baggless and has setting for hardwood floors.  On sale at Walmart for $44.00.

Get yourself a Dyson.. Best vacuum I have ever had.. I have several dogs and it's great for picking up dog hair. We live in a very sandy area and it's wonderful at picking up the sand.

Depends on your budget and if you want bag or bagless..I would suggest something with a bag, jusy my opinion. I would check out the Sanitaires which is the commercial line for Electrolux, but can be used for home use and are pretty cheap. For highe end vacuums Miele or Sebo. My personaly experience with Dysons are bad. There heavy, clog easily and are very dirty.
