I need a nice place, on the border of France/Switzerland please?

My family and I are going on holiday - and I'm taking a friend - to Italy. We're driving there from Basingstoke (South England) but we need to stop along the way, obviously.

Can you name all or any nice places along the border of France and Switzerland that would be a good place for a family to stop off in?

Go to Annecy, France.

It's a very nice place with the famous lake of Annecy.

Very quiet. And it's on the border of France/Switzerland...
