I need a non toxic glue that I can use on an acrylic double wall tumbler that has come apart?

The tumbler came apart at the top seam and I need a glue to fix it but has to be non toxic

  1. 3 options:

    1. Use a PVA type glue, used in schools etc. Not sure if it will be strong enough.

    2. Use a solvent to soften the 2 edges of the acrylic then push them together and they will bond as the solvent evaporates.

    Use only a small amount of solvent, need to be careful as dependent on type of acrylic this method could cause crazing (cracks to appear).

    3. it is possible to buy an acrylic glue,  sometimes sold as part of a bath repair kit or used by sign makers / plastics fabricators.
