I need a passage translated to Latin- could someone please help!!! ?

Question

The passage is: Courage is not defined by those who fought and did not fall but by those who fought fell and rose again.

"Virtus (fortitudo) non determinatur ab eis qui in pugna non ruerunt, sed ab eis qui ruerunt in pugna ac assurrexerunt."

To avoid a mass of perfect forms and make it less 'heavy' I translated "fought" with "in battle/ in a fight"
