I would only get the base of the hair trimmed a bit, so that it's still somewhat long. Then for the other layers I would get the longest layer about shoulder length. It's a big length difference from the base of your hair but it will look cute and emo-ish as you want. As for the rest of the layers, the hairdresser could put in several different shorter lengths of layers. This will not only add body to your hair, but it will look somewhat messy like typical emo hair. As for the bangs, I would get side bangs that sweep across your face. Your hairdresser can do them as thin or as thick as you'd like. Side bangs usually are a little longer than nose length when put in front of the face, long enough to pull back if you want them out of your face at times..

Just a warning.

If you plan on doing that.

I long bottom layer you want, if it's going to be more than 2-3 inches longer than the shoulder length one, in the pictures is more than likely a track. (Hair extensions)

If you have really short layers on top of a long base, your hair will be very very thin at bottom and will look kinda weird.

I don't know about pictures, but if you type in like, emo/scene hair on Photobucket, you're bound to find something.
