I need a place to host a party in wellington NZ! for 400 teenagers!?

on december the 7th i am having the leavers party for the colleges of upper hutt. i need a venue in the upper hutt-lower hutt area that isnt too up beat or too pricey please if you have any ideas please tell me!! i have 70 days!!!

Try renting the local jail house as it will save the police transport cost's as the party re-gresses !

Actually, what about the Trentham Racecourse?

Or, Silverstream Retreat? Silverstream Retreat is easily accessible by Public Transport even late into the night. Not sure the two main rooms would fit 400 people in though. Possibly for a dance type venue.

It is Brethren - not sure how they treat alcohol but you could call them.

Otherwise, to make sure they are all rounded up and organised, you could arrange for a bus to pick them up at each of the schools and drive them to a venue in Wellington - perhaps the town hall? i remember having a school ball there ten years ago (tho not our leavers party, that was held at school) and we had a blast. :)
