I need a place to live around Haleyville or Bear Creek Alabama. Rent must be under $250.?

I'm a single mom of two boys. Oldest son is in Bear Creek school so I have to drive there and back several times a week. If you know of any places that would be no more than $250 per month that would be great. I'm on limited income b/c I'm disabled and my husband just passed away in July.

You really are not likely to find anything that low where you sons would be even close to safe.

If you have not applied for section 8 you need to.

In the mean time, talk to your pastor, your church may have a place for you or at least be willing to pay for a hotel while you find work.

.     There were 2 rooms for rent in the classifieds but you can't squeeze 3 people into one room.   Find an elderly person who lives alone and needs help.  We paid someone $250 a month to stay with our 88 year old Aunt.   No nursing needed.  Just someone who lives there and sleeps there in case she needs an ambulance.

With three people on $250 or less a month, you couldn't find anything.  The best you could do in Pittsburgh is a one bedroom but it would be at least $400 a month for about 600 square feet.  I assume Alabama is a lot cheaper?
