  1. Homemade Playdough Recipe:

    Ingredients:

    1 c. water

    1/4 c. salt

2 to 3 drops food coloring (If you want to color it)

1 pkg. Kool-Aid (If you want it scented)

    1-½ T. vegetable oil

    1-¼ c. flour

Bring water and food coloring to a boil in a small saucepan. In a bowl mix flour, salt and Kool-Aid (if you want scented playdough). Make a well in the center of the dry mixture and add the boiling water and oil, stirring constantly. Once the mixture is cool enough to handle (which takes just several minutes), knead the dough for about two or three minutes until proper texture is achieved. And now your homemade playdough is ready to use! It can be stored in refrigerator for up to 2 months.

  2. Playdough

    4 cups flour

    1/4 cup salt

    1 1/2 cups water

    1 tablespoon oil

Mix together flour, and salt. Mix water and oil, and food coloring if desired. Gradually stir the water and oil mix into the flour mix. Knead the mix as you add the liquid. Add more water if too stiff, more flour if sticky.

  3. This is my favorite:

    1 cup of flour

    1/2 cup of salt

    2-3 Tbsp cooking oil

1 package of unsweetened Kool-Aid (or generic)

    1 cup boiling water.

Mix everything but the water together first. Then add the water-make sure it is boiling.  Stir, stir, stir until it becomes like play-doh.  It takes a little while to get it the right consistency, but it is worth it. It smells awesome and is very easy to make!

  5. I love this recipe, it takes about 5 minutes from start to finish, makes heaps (enough for several kids to play with), doesn't have to be stored in the fridge and doesn't go off.

    2 cups flour

    1 cup salt

    2 cups water

    2 tablespoons oil

    4 teaspoons creme of tartar

    food colouring

Cook and stir for 3 - 5 minutes.

    Keep in a covered container.

(If you don't have creme of tartar, it will still work, it will just go off eventually and should be kept in the fridge to help prevent that.)
