  1. This is too broad of a question. What content area does it need to be in? (Math/Science/Language Arts/ Gross Motor, etc.)

The example listed above is a good one (the braille book).

Any activity can be modified into an activity for children with special needs. Example - sequencing cards (i.e. - cards that have pictures of a specific task, like going shopping. First you put your shoes on, then you go out the door, then you walk into the store, etc.) Anyways, with those cards, for children who are younger (or have a learning disability) you could only use three cards. For higher functioning children, you could use five or six. That's just a random example, but just keep in mind you can modify almost any activity.

  2. You cannot pick accommodations for the whole class, they have to be picked for each individual students needs.

If you have a student who needs accommodations, they should have an IFSP, IEP, or 504 Plan in place that list any accommodations that they should receive for what and when. You should have a copy of the students IFSP, IEP, or 504 Plan, and should be teaching the student according to what is on the document.

  3. A braille children's book

teach some simple signs-mommy, daddy, ball, car-

video from you tube about power chair soccer

playing 'buddy ball -a peer helps a disabled friend play baseball-an adult or child can simulate a person with a disability-have the preschooler be the helper

ie-teacher wears a blindfold-hits ball off tee-child leads to base
