  1. I used these for my father's eulogy. Hope they are helpful.

    1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.

15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.

16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.

17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.

I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge -- myth is more potent than history -- dreams are more powerful than facts -- hope always triumphs over experience -- laughter is the cure for grief -- love is stronger than death.

    Robert Fulghum

"Give me my Romeo; and, when he shall die,

Take him and cut him out in little stars,

And he will make the face of heaven so fine

That all the world will be in love with night

And pay no worship to the garish sun."

    William Shakespeare

It's sad when our daddies die. Makes us one less person inside

    Pamela Ribon

People do not die for us immediately, but remain bathed in a sort of aura of life which bears no relation to true immortality but through which they continue to occupy our thoughts in the same way as when they were alive. It is as though they were traveling abroad.

    Marcel Proust

    I Am Always With You

When I am gone, release me, let me go.

I have so many things to see and do,

You mustn't tie yourself to me with too many tears,

But be thankful we had so many good years.

I gave you my love, and you can only guess

How much you've given me in happiness.

I thank you for the love that you have shown,

But now it is time I traveled on alone.

So grieve for me a while, if grieve you must

Then let your grief be comforted by trust

That it is only for a while that we must part,

So treasure the memories within your heart.

I won't be far away for life goes on.

And if you need me, call and I will come.

Though you can't see or touch me, I will be near

And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear

All my love around you soft and clear

And then, when you come this way alone,

I'll greet you with a smile and a "Welcome Home".

    Emily Dickinson

"Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon him."

  2. Sorry for your loss, I just lost my father in January, so I sympathize.

A bible verse that has helped me is Revelation 21:3,4 which says (paraphrased) that God will wipe out every tear from our eyes, that death will be no more, and neither will mourning, nor outcry, nor pain be anymore.

Two other quotes that come to my mind are both from a poetess named Edna Saint Vincent Millay-

"For you there is no song...Only the shaking of the voice that meant to sing; the sound of the strong voice breaking."

    and

"The soaring mind outstripped the tethered heart."

    I hope this helps.

  3. it's not me it's you i think we should see other people becouse i'm not feeling you so it's over

  4. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal

Love leaves a memory no one can steal

  5. its not how he lived his life...its the impact he made on people..

  6. May the wind always be on your back and the sun upon your face and may the winds of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars.

This is an Irish blessing that struck me when my father passed away.
