I need a radio code for my new used 1993 BMW. How do I retrieve this radio code without paying dealer price?

I finally got the unit out. I can read the radio unit serial number. I also have the VIN number. Can someone help please?

I need the serial number off the radio head.  You have to take the radio out of the car.  You need a special size allen head driver.  Or a screwdriver that will turn the little screws behind the little plastic doors on the face of the radio.
