I need a radio with good reception for the bathroom--not a shower radio?

I'm looking for a radio that can go in the bathroom, not in the shower, but on the counter. I have heard that radios don't work well in bathrooms because the pipes in the walls disrupt the reception. Is this true? Does anyone know where I can buy a radio with very good reception that will work even in a bathroom?

Never heard that before - and Shower Radios don't have any special electronics, they're just sealed tighter.

Buy your radio at a big box store with a good return policy. Save the box and all docs and try a few. But I don't think you'll have a problem - building reception is mostly big buildings with lots of concrete an steel surrounding you. This is anecdotal, but I also feel like FM is more affected than AM.
