  1. How about a "winter wonderland" theme?  Snowflakes, snow on trees, skaters on a pond, snowmen, icicles, etc.

  2. winter or holiday?

If holiday, put gift bags all over it with different subjects written on them and a larger bag that says learning is a gift.

Allow the students to decorate the bags.

  3. One year I did "A Polar Protest" My students made snowmen and then I made a picket sign for each one with sayings like "where's my magical hat" and "40 degrees? snow way!"

  4. Use photos of the kids' faces in the design for an advantage.

Have them as snowmen, elves, etc. around a winter scene.
