I need a reason to call ex / baby daddy. any ideas on what to say?

my ex has called me serveral times telling me as soon as he sees my baby girl he is going to kill her himself. im due in december. we broke up because i wouldnt abort and now he calls me telling me how he cant wait to kill her, sick right? i changed my number and contacted a lawyer. the lawyer told me to call him, put my phone on speaker, and buy a recorder. this was in court they will hear his voice telling me he is going to kill my baby. i talked to the lawyer and we couldnt think of anything to say so he doesnt hang up and so its not suspecious... once i have the threats recorded the lawyer told me i have nothing to worry about. he is scaring me and i dont want my baby to be with him, please someone help me! thank you so much.

Can you answer  when he calls you and record it. Other wise you could tell him you have something of his to return.

Just tell him that you have been looking at finances and feel that you may need him to contribute but this shouldn't be a problem as you are sure he will fall in love with his daughter once she is born....by the sounds of it the two combined should get him expressing his feelings....BTW...poor you for getting involved with such a loser....are you sure that the threats have any real intent in them??  look after yourself if thats the case!! Contact the Police and let them do the dirty work. Most cell phones also offer voice recorders as a main feature. So that way, when he does call, you can immediately switch it over to voice record.

Mention needing money for prenatal doctors visits. That should get him riled up in a heartbeat.

of course one would have to question the sanity of your lawyer for making a suggestion like they did. That is another matter though.

Tell him you need money to buy something for the baby. That should set him off.

Could you call asking for child support.  It would be an excuse and get him angry at the same time so he might mention killing the baby (which is just awful and I'm so sorry you have to be going through this!).  Tell him when you went in for some pregnancy test you found out you had an std and thought he'd like to know so he could get tested (lol i know that's awful!).  Tell him you found something of his or can't find something of yours that could be at his place that you need.  That's all I can think of.  Good Luck!
