I need a replacement motor for a 50hp perkins diesel manufactured in 1974

Question

my friends boat sank with the engine half torn down.I need to repower but cant afford to make very many mods.Can anyone help me find an engine that will bolt right up? Any help will be greatly appreciated.Thanks to all who answer

I'd bet that even if your friends boat sank it was a fairly large sailboat, that would be worth prepowering with a new engine, and I've always liked the perking or the volvo.  It would increase the boats value much more than a rebuilt.  Good luck!

There are a few including perkins that have the same foot print> or contact a rebuilder and exchange for a rebuilt 4-108 complete or with out exchanger and acc>
