  1. In casserole dish, melt 3/4 stick margerine in microwave, add to it 1 cup rice (not quick cook), 1 can French onion soup, and 1 can beef consume.  Cook at 375 degrees for 1 hour, until rice is done.  It will soak up all of the juice. Simply Delicious!

You can also add a small jar of mushrooms, if you'd like.

  2. here are some ideas for you

    Savory Herb Rice

    INGREDIENTS:

    2 cups water

    1 tablespoon butter

    1 teaspoon chicken or

    vegetable bouillon granules

1 cup uncooked long grain rice

    2 tablespoons reduced-sodium  soy sauce

    1 teaspoon dried minced onion

    1/2 teaspoon onion powder

    1/4 teaspoon dried basil

    1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram

    1/4 teaspoon dried thyme

    DIRECTIONS:

    1. In a large saucepan, combine the water, butter and bouillon. Bring to a boil. Add remaining ingredients. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for about 15 minutes or until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender

    Pork Fried Rice

    INGREDIENTS:

1 (6 ounce) boneless pork loin

chop, cut into 1/2 inch pieces

    1/4 cup finely chopped carrot

    1/4 cup chopped fresh broccoli

    1/4 cup frozen peas

    1 green onion, chopped

1 tablespoon butter 1 egg, beaten

    1 cup cold, cooked long-grain

    rice

    4 1/2 teaspoons reduced-

    sodium soy sauce

    1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

    1/8 teaspoon ground ginger

    DIRECTIONS:

    1. In a large skillet, saute the pork, carrot, broccoli, peas and onion in butter until pork is no longer pink. Remove from skillet and set aside. In same skillet, cook and stir egg over medium heat until completely set. Stir in the rice, soy sauce, garlic powder, ginger and pork mixture; heat through.

    Easy Mushroom Rice

    INGREDIENTS:

    1 cup uncooked long-grain rice

    1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed

    French onion soup

1 (10.5 ounce) can beef broth 1 (4 ounce) can sliced

    mushrooms, drained

    1/4 cup butter

    DIRECTIONS:

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

    2. Combine rice, onion soup, beef broth, mushrooms and butter in an 8x8 inch casserole dish.

    3. Bake in a preheated 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) oven for 60 minutes.

  3. Just add whatever seasoning you added to the dry rub on the pork, into the water when you make the rice.... Maybe add some sauteed chopped onions & peppers too.  Stir in some fresh chopped cilantro when it's done.....

  4. I'd use brown rice, boil in consomme or add bouillon cube to water.

Add frozen mixed veggies, or stir in fried onion & red/green peppers.

  5. What I like is a nice bit of plain cooked rice with a nice pad of butter and soy sauce.  Mmm.  Simple and delicious.

Other than that, you might want to try something like Spanish rice.  I'm sure there are a million variations with free recipes online, but I just do it as I go.  Chop up some onion, celery and garlic.  Open up a can of stewed chopped tomatoes.  Cook your rice with all of that stuff.  Yum!
