I need a show name for my horse chequers?

Name should be "TD."  Colors should be Black & White. If you don't 'get' it, ask or show a political science professor your question and my answer.

A show name is not so easy if you don't know the horse, But here are a few suggestions:

Checkered History

Shadowlands

Light and Shade

Graffiti

Sketchbook

Shadow Dreams

I think that a dark aubergine would be a good colour, maybe combined with a touch of pink if you are a young lady, and a touch of pale blue if you are a boy.
