  1. Try a pitcher of sweetened tea, cut up some mangos and peaches, and top off with peach schnapps. Greatest drink ever

  2. Vodka and pineapple juice, awesome.   I have infused vodka for a couple of day in pineapple, drain, eat the fruit and serve the vodka with a splash of club soda.  I had a luau 2 years ago and made 3 1/2 gallon containers of the stuff.  It was gone my the end of the night.  They are Stohli-dolies.  Have fun.

  3. if you want to go tradtional tacky luau drinks, can't beat the good ole mai tai!

This is the authentic traditional Mai Tai recipe from the "Mai Tai" Bar at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel in Waikiki. The original Mai Tai was created by Victor J. Bergeron in 1944 and brought to Hawaii in 1953 at the Royal Hawaiian, Moana and Surfrider Hotels.

    1 oz. Dark Rum

    1 oz Light Rum

    1 oz Orange Curacao

    2 oz Orange Juice

    1/2 oz Lime Juice

    Dash Orgeat

    Dash Simple syrup (bar syrup)

Combine all of the ingredients in the order listed in a Old Fashioned style glass over shaved ice. Stir with a swizzle stick. Garnish with a slice of pineapple and a cherry.

  6. Sangria is one of the easiest drinks you can make, and since you need to make it ahead of time you'll end up saving time during the party itself.  There are a lot of different recipes (search online and you'll find dozens) but the basics are the same -- you combine red or white wine with brandy or schnapps, add some sugar and any combination of berries and sliced fruit that you want, and then let it sit in the refrigerator for a few hours.

  7. your safe to make mai tai, pinacoladas, miami vice, lava flows, blue hawaiian

  8. I love mojitos or piña coladas!!
