I need a simple design to make a frame for a queen size bed?

i need to know how many boards, what size of boards, and maybe a pic if you can get one!

  1. Go to BJ's by a frame for 29.99 takes 5 minutes to put together.


  2. The simplest would be a piece of 3/4 inch plywood and four to six milk crates. Since a standard plywood panel is 48x96, you would need to add a panel to increase the 48 to 60. Put a couple braces on the underside of the panel.

    It is a pain to move. It's best if you make it with 1/4" carriage bolts so that you can disassemble it, particularly if you need to take it on an elevator.

    Depth varies with manufacturer and model.

  5. Here are some pictures.  If you are using a box spring under the matress you will not need as many slats as shown in these pictures.  Short of writing a very long and rambling set of instructions, the last link has some free plans for bed frames.
