I need a smart and honest doctor in the Mesa/Gilbert AZ area?

I have been to several doctors for several symptoms that are scaring me badly. None of them seem to know what is really going on or care about solving the problem. I have been to the hospital three times and haven't had any luck there either.

I need a doctor who will honestly help me get through this and act as if my life was worth something. I live in the Mesa/Gilbert Arizona area. Thank you.

Please do not answer this question unless you personally know the doctor you are recommending! Do not tell me to call a directory. I am asking for the advice of PEOPLE.

  1. I see Anthony J. Katz (MD). He is professional and knowledgeable. He is, however, located in Phoenix near Paradise Valley mall. Since you have seen several doctors and visited the hospital a total of three times, I would say one of the five medical professionals that cared for you are likely to find any health related issues if one is present. In any case it is always better to be safe then sorry. Hope you find the doctor you are looking for! Goodluck.

  2. If you have been to several doctors, my guess is that each doctor is focusing too closely on the one thing he or she knows most about.  This happens a LOT among doctors.  They may be smart and hardworking, but they may not have a broad enough perspective to see the whole patient.  It's like this.  If you are an electrician, you think everything is a short.  If you are a plumber, all you know about is leaky pipes.  It's the same sort of problem with doctors.

Most of the time, it's not a big deal.  If you have a heart problem, a cardiologist can treat it.  If it's a stomach problem, all you usually need is a gastroenterologist.  But when you have more than one problem, it can be helpful to see an entire group of doctors at one time, so that they can see all of you and not get caught up too much in their own narrow specialties.

In your case, the easiest way to approach your multiple symptoms is to go to something like the Mayo Clinic.  Fortunately, there is a Mayo Clinic in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area.  If your problems have been continuing for a while and are scaring you, a multi-specialty clinic like Mayo can be the best way to get help.  You do not need to get a referral from another doctor, and it looks like you don't trust the ones you have now anyway.  So just click here for information on becoming a patient:

I really hope this helps.  There is nothing to compare with the frustration of not knowing what is really going on inside your own body.  Good luck!!
