I need a sponsor to help afford a trip, how would i go about finding one?

i was invited by people to people to go to hong kong in summer 2009.

the trip is upwards of 3500$. i need a LOT of financial support. how can i get a sponsorship to help with costs?

Ask a company you have a relationship with to see if they will sponsor all or part of your trip.  Otherwise, do what my friends' kids do when they want to go on a ministry mission--ask 75 friends for $100, and expect to receive about half.  Explain in a letter why what you want to do is worth their contributing.  

Why don't you just get a part time job--that would give you plenty of money in just less than a year, and you don't have to mooch off of anyone.  You could be your own independent grown up person who can set goals and make them.  You'd only have to net $400 a month.  You can do it!
