A name will crop up at the right time. We just got a kitten that the breeders had been calling sooty, and it didn't fit, but we couldn't think of anything better, until the first time he noticed the tv, and the Stig was on Top Gear... so he is Stig and it suits him to a T

My old cat was called Eric cos he peed on an Eric Clapton CD when he first came to the house

I like people names for cats too, like Molly, Sophie, Milly... anything with 'y' on the end is easier to call out!

I love the name Luna but also Smoo, we named a little black cat smoo after a cave on the scottish coastline, it wasnt anything to do with the cave just liked the word, she really grew into it.

Always remember when naming a cat, does it sound good shortened and called out of the back door in a high pitched voice?

My newest addition unfortunately came with a name i hate but she looks at you and comes when you say it, unlike any cat ive ever had! so id feel bad changing it. (i wont say the name as her old owners might be reading this an some people might have a cat named that and be really upset)
