Are we allowed to buy tasers? If so, I live in Wright County, Minnesota. Where is the closest place I could buy one?

  1. Yes, you can buy them, but they are very expensive.  Pepper spray works better and costs much less.

  2. I'm not sure. Connecticut you can.

  3. Check your state laws first. If they are legal for civilian ownership, you have two choices, the C2 or the Taser X-26c. Both work in that they incapacitate your attacker for up to 30seconds. During this time you drop it and run to safety.

They can be purchased at a Firearms Dealer and as someone pointed out they are expensive, around $400-500 apiece and a background check is needed before you can purchase. Despite the high price, Taser Intl. will replace the weapon if you do use it to defend yourself if you submit a Police Report that the event actually occurred. With this Police Report, you also need to send the "taggants" which are small pieces of plastic that have your information and the serial number of the weapon owned by you micro-printed on them.

  4. Don't tase me bro!

Yes you can buy one.  Look online.
