I need a topic for my interest groups class final research paper. Can anyone help me out?

I'm interested in environmental policy, specifically global warming/climate change issues. The paper is due mid-May and has to be about 20-25 pages, so it has to be something I can easily find data for and write.

I am totally running blank. PLEASE HELP!!

There are quite a few topics that come to mind:

- Electric cars and policy to make them road worthy.

-- I know Canada has a company ZENN which is only legal in Vancouver (in Canada) I think that they are also sold in California and a few other states.

- Control in mining of fossil fuels

--How much does drilling for fuel affect the environment (water, land, carbon emissions, ect.)

--Economic side of things

--How are decisions made that allow companies to drill here or there

- Kyoto accord

--Why so many are against it

--What does it mean for developing countries

--What are proposed amendments

- Waste disposal of harmful items such as computers

--Economic costs

--Environmental impact

--Enforcement of proper disposal

Why not stir up some interest instead of the old boring stuff?Take the position that global warming is not the doomsday that some are saying. There is lots of counter-info out there. But that may be too much work. Seems you want something easy...
