I need a tv that is cable ready for college. I found this tv at walmart. Would this one work?

  1. Yes this will work just fine. I would actually be really surprised if you were to find a CRT TV on sale that was not able to accept NTSC cable.


  2. This TV will work fine.  

    UCSD supports NTSC cable TV, otherwise known as analog cable or "plain old cable TV" , which all TVs can support  - including this one.

    The TV you've found will also support the new digital TV format which will go into effect in February of 2009 - but this only affects people using an antenna (eg. not cable TV or satellite.)  It won't affect your channels at all.
