I've never heard of Alesana.

I know this might sound a bit harsh, but if you're not "quite up" to calling her that all the time, maybe you should consider a different name.

Ali, Ale, Ales, Ana might work. I'd just prefer Alisandra, with the nickname of Ali, Aliss, Alissa.
