My boss hired me to recruit attorneys for him, attorneys that want to grow their business. I find them, interview them, and forward their resumes to the boss who needs to talk and discuss contracts, money, funding, etc. Information I do not have, and the Boss is evasive and will not give me information on, so I cannot explain how that works to the recruits. The boss wants me to do everything, recruit, sales, etc, and I do not feel I have the knowledge to do that because Mr. Boss man will not share that with me. He wants me to have these people ready to sign a contract by the time he talks to the recruits. I am NOT a salesperson, or negotiator, am I right? What is wrong with this fool? Recruiters, find, interview and forward people, they do not talk contract specifics and the such...this guy is making me not sleep at night, am I responsible to make these people sign being I am only the recruiter ?????? We have NO work contract, no w2, no w4, no nothing, so I say he do it himself. Either I am a recruiter, or I am a sales person. I think this person has NO idea on how to do this or he would be doing it himself, right? Let me include that this jerk is not even a company yet, he has no EIN number, or anything. His neighbor is paying me out of his personal account, so the one barking orders at me isn’t even paying me, his "partner" is.....I work from home using MY personal cell for his business line, and my personal computer to place ads, and get resumes, and make calls. There is NO "company"...just two people trying to make a corporation out of an idea.

  1. There are many issues that you have here at this company and with Mr. Boss, some are unethical. I would definitely look for a job elsewhere because you have great skills that can be put to use in a good company.

  2. You  just about answered the question yourself- two people trying to make something out of an idea.  With nothing formed, I'm sure you are correct.  Now do the IF THEN ELSE-  If= they are successful, yes I want to be with them.  End of story stick it out.  If not successful go to then=then I might get a real job, or put a time line on this, I'm getting paid (presuming your costs are covered).  Else- kinda like then- else I'm getting out of this now, or by Nov. 1st.

Being on the ground floor of a new business has its advantages, I was a long time ago, and it worked out to a high position.  Then I've gone in to established companies and its start from the ground up.  Do they have something going if then else, or a couple of stumblebums?  Good question though, encountered by many, different circumstances.
