I need a very speical activity for a 5 year old girl.... PLEASE!?

I've been babysitting this little girl for quite awhile now and unfortunatly I have to move. She is not taking the news very well and this is our last week together. I really wanted to do something special with her on the last day but I can't think of anything. We typically do a lot of projects.... we've made cookies, cakes, muffins, play doh, we've painted, made cards, airplanes, puppets, jewelry... I'M OUT OF IDEAS! lol... I want to make this day different than any other. The only catches are... we have to stay at the house, and I also watch her little sister who is only about 18 months.... not saying we couldn't put her down for a nap if the activity is beyond her years... but it would be nice if she could be included too... THANK YOU ALL FOR GIVING THIS SOME THOUGHT!

have a treasure hunt w/her, and have the prize be a special gift from you like a picture of you guys or a stuffed animal or something

why not plant a special tree together, like an apple tree, (blossoms are so pretty) then it can be your special tree, and whenever she misses you she can go see it, and you can promise to plant one just like it at your new place, also this helps the enviroment :)

Natalie, you said all the things you have enjoyed together so why not try to do them all the last day, or at least most of them.That is what she will remember, not necesarily the last day but all the things you've done together over the last couple yrs is what she will remember the most

Make some pictures of the three of you and together arrange nicely in a photo album. That could also be her gift, if she is so fond of you she'll love watching pictures  of you two

have a princess fairy day!! i'm using this theme next weekend for my daughter's 7th b-day. little girls love it!!!

go to your local dollar store or party store and pick up 3 pairs of wings (2 for the kids and one for you) they are about 4 dollars each most places unless you can find them for a buck at the dollar store.

get stuff to fairy crowns star wire garland(the garland you get that has stars,hearts,etc on them-dollar store or parties stores will have this as well), pearl garland, and ribbon. wrap the wire garland three times around your head so that it's snug but not too tight-wrap the end of the garland around the circle once done). wrap the pearl garland around the wire garland (using extra wire garland to hold it in place). cut long strands of ribbon and attach to back of crown by tying a knot (curl ends if using curling ribbon).

make butterfly/star wands using foam cutout shapes of stars or butterflies then attach them to dowel rods and add glitter,sequins,ribbon, etc. if you dont have much time w/her make these the night before.

if you have time-make skirts too. using tulle or other thin-type material, cut out several flower petal shaped pieces then cut a small slit in them (for ribbon waistband to go through). hotglue or superglue them together overlapping a bit. once dry have your special girl take ribbon and thread it through the slits on the skirt and tie at waist to fit. you can also use 2 inch sized silk green petals to cover the glue lines on the skirt (just lay the leaves over the top of the tulle after cutting a slit in them for the ribbon to go through). bring this ready made for you and the girls when you arrive.

then you all get dressed up, put on makeup and dance to fairy music such as waltz of the flowers or sugar plum fairy from the nutcracker.

you can have a fairy "tea" for lunch w/little tea sandwiches and apple-mango juice or similar juice in place of the tea.

take lots of pictures and at the end of the week-present her with a "princess fairy" photo album so she can look back on your special day together!!

this is an easy way to include her sister too

A picnic, you could have it outside or inside. It you have it inside make it special, with a rug and maybe a few pot plants around. Pull back the furniture and have imaginary day.

Get a couple cheap picture frames and decorate them (paint, stickers, letters)then put pictures of the 2 of you in them so she can remember you once your gone.
