It is a little bit out of your way, but you can NEVER go wrong with West Flamingo Animal Hospital.  We have been taking our animals there, both dogs and cats, for most of the 18 years that we have been living here. They also are very experienced in taking care of cancer patients, something not all vets are familar with.  

          Not that it is important now, but it was started, or so I am told, by current US Senator John Ensign.  We have always received good advise, compassionate service, and fair prices.  They quote you a charge and they stick to it.  

           Like everything else involving medicine, it can get expensive.  Therefore, get pet insurance if you can.  It can save you a lot of money.  

          West Flamingo Animal Hospital used to be open 24 hours a day, but that became hard on the doctors.  Now, they close at night.  However, if you have an emergency, you can take your dog or other animal to their associated emergency animal hospital on West Charleston which is, if memory serves me correctly, just east of the Community College.  Look it up in the phone book to be safe. Obviously, as an emergency room, their prices are somewhat higher, but still fair and their people are also top notch.  

          I consider us lucky in this valley to have both of these places to take care of our loving pets.
