If you have a wireless router then adding an 802.11 camera would be easiest...

It is just part of your LAN and has an IP address just like any other IP-based network node. You may need to set up a domain name with your ISP, that way you can log in to your LAN and access the camera. You probably want to password protect the camera access, too...
